Indonesia's tin output acocunts for nearly 30 percent of the world's refined tin production. As the global economy has gradually recovered from the crisis, Indonesia's tin miners are upbeat to continue supplying the growing demand both with their refined tin and more advanced tin products.
Tin is one of Indonesia's major mining commodities. Tin recorded the highest total export value in 2009, and already for the period of January - September 2010, Indonesia's tin export reached US$ 921,48 million, making tin as one of Indonesia's big ten non oil and gas exported products.
